Description

ML® Super 2K is a cement and acrylic-based, super-elastic, double components water insulation material. Components must be mixed before application. Resistant to positive water pressure.

 

Uses & Advantages

• Can be used indoor and outdoor for horizontal and vertical applications, water tanks, cisterns, swimming pools (under the coverage), groundwork isolation, retaining walls and basement isolation, isolation
  of deck roofs, irrigation channels, manholes, concrete pipes, wet areas such as bathroom, kitchen, balcony, facilities such as thermal springs, Turkish baths, isolation of concrete flower receptacle, bonding ceramics, granite and covering materials
• To improve its performance, use fiber glass or geotextile as reinforcement (density up to 60gr/m2)
• Repair of concrete and protection of structures exposed to marine environment and salts

Preparation & Application

Concrete must be fully cured (28 days). Following ACI 302 recommendation, apply ML® Super 2K   as late as possible after construction (ideally 90–120 days to minimize additional slab shrinkage).

 

Surfaces must be sound, dry, clean, free of dirt, moisture, loose particles, oil, grease, asphalt, tar, paint, wax, rust, waterproofing and curing or parting compounds, membranes, and other foreign matter.

 

Clean concrete surfaces where necessary by grinding, sandblasting or wire brushing. Expose a sound surface free of contamination and laitance.

 

ML® Hybrid is 2 component product, component A is cement based powder product and component B is acrylic based liquid product. Firstly put half quantity of B in clean bucket and add slowly component A while mixing than add rest of component B in bucket and continue to add component A slowly until mix all quantity.

Application can need primer so AquaEtanche® or Universal Primer® can use 100gr/m2 before application of ML Hybrid ®

Product should be applicate in first coat in one direction before product dry it is possible to fix Geotextile if necessary. After 24 hours second coat should applicate all surface opposite direction than first coating.

After 24 hours of second coating it is possible to apply ceramic adhesive and fix ceramic or tile on surface.    

Install ML® Super 2K at full surface to allow for proper load transfer. Do not use sand or backing materials to reduce volume. Clean, dry silica sand may be used to seal cracks in the base of the joint if approved by the specifier
