Description

ML® SDB is a one part, solvent-free, pure acrylic-based special waterproofing polymer produced by the latest technology for under ceramic waterproofing.

Preparation & Application

Concrete must be fully cured (28 days). Following ACI 302 recommendation, apply ML® SDB as late as possible after construction (ideally 90–120 days to minimize additional slab shrinkage).

 

Surfaces must be sound, dry, clean, free of dirt, moisture, loose particles, oil, grease, asphalt, tar, paint, wax, rust, waterproofing and curing or parting compounds, membranes, and other foreign matter.

 

Clean concrete where necessary by grinding, sandblasting or wire brushing. Expose a sound surface free of contamination and laitance.

ML® SDB   is ready to use product so mix 1 minutes with mixer before use. Before application no need to add water or any other products. Cracks on concrete or screed must fix with Joint Etanche®.

Before first layer it must apply Universal Primer® or AquaEtanche®.

Application of ML® SDB is with brush or roll with minimum 2 layers. First layer should be in one direction to all surface. After 24 hours second layer should be applicate opposite direction.

 

Install ML® SDB at full surface to allow for proper load transfer. Do not use sand or backing materials to reduce volume. Clean, dry silica sand may be used to seal cracks in the base of the joint if approved by the specifier
